Metallica Load: 30 Years Later

Introduction

Metallica’s Load turns 30 years old — one of the most divisive eras in the band’s history. In this video, I break down the moment Metallica shocked the world with the haircuts, the AIC Unplugged appearance, Mike Inez “Friends Don’t Let Friends Get Haircuts” bass, and the release of “Until It Sleeps.” Some fans left, some stayed, and a whole new wave of listeners came in. I also cover a quick minute of what I thought of Load and how the album hit me personally.

Closing Thoughts
