Special Tribute to Lemmy – 10 Years Gone, Still Missed

Introduction

 Lemmy was born on December 24, 1945, and would have been 80 years old. Sadly, he passed away on December 28, 2015. His death was heartbreaking.  Lemmy left a massive impact on music—from being a Jimi Hendrix roadie, to his time in Hawkwind and being fired, to forming Motörhead and creating some of the most iconic rock and metal music ever written.

Lemmy and Motorhead left an impact and even inspired me. My favorite Lemmy song is “Killed by Death.” What’s yours? Comment below!

Judas Priest Or Iron Maiden - Who's Better?

  Introduction I’ve listened to both Iron Maiden and Judas Priest for years, and while I enjoy both, I’ve always connected more with one of them. This post breaks down why. Iron Maiden I liked some of the Paul Di’Anno era of Iron Maiden. Paul sang on Iron Maiden and Killers . He was fired in 1981 because the band wanted someone more commercial for their evolving sound. Bruce Dickinson came in shortly after, with his first album being The Number of the Beast . Bruce would sing on the next several albums up through Fear of the Dark .
