Introduction

Sepultura choosing not to play any Max‑era songs at Rock in Rio is a huge mistake. Fans like me grew up on those classics — Arise, Chaos A.D., Roots, Territory, all the songs that defined the band for an entire generation. The Max era is the reason so many of us became Sepultura fans in the first place.

For a band that still leans heavily on those songs in most setlists, skipping them at one of the biggest festivals in the world feels like a disconnect from what the fans actually want. Rock in Rio is the perfect place to celebrate the music that built their legacy and ignoring that era could backfire in a big way.
