Corporate Wrestling Is Ruining Wrestling

Introduction

The problem with modern wrestling is that it's too corporate. As in it's all about the business. The in-ring stuff doesn't feel real and feels like it's not believable. I also talk about it in my video below.

WWE is missing something?

It's missing something and someone like The Rock or Austin. They could go big places with Roman, but they keep him in just a wrestling mode instead of letting be the real person. Same with Brock and using him on the farm or using like Dom and Rey as a real person storyline instead of a wrestling match. Because we all know Dom is stale and stuck as a heel in the Judgment Day.

Is Wrestling Too Corporate?

But WWE doesn't do that. It's all staged, scripted, polished and all about PR. Which looking at PR, it's feels like Nick Khan lying to cover their ass or TKO screwing up a storyline because someone on ESPN is a bigger name in their mind. But doesn't hold a meaning to the storyline like Ted Dibaise Jr. or Hardcore Holly. Like Randy Vs Cody at mania this past year. Wrestling needs to change on a creative and TV standpoint.

Why Is Realism Needed?

But the one thing it's missing is realism. Realism to show the person. Like Steve Austin in the bar. Shane eating at a restaurant with Kane. Edge slapping John Cena's dad. The realism is not there and it's all about light, camera, action in the ring. This is why wrestling is losing fans. One day wrestling could be a paid program at 4 am in the morning like ECW was in the 90s because the views are too low for prime time. But still doing well for sales.

Closing Thoughts

I just wish that one day WWE could be good again instead of a pr act. How do you feel? Do you agree or disagree? Feel free to comment.
